Welcome to PurpleEllePoetry
A few years ago on a summers evening I sat and wrote my very first poem, “Summer night” Its down below. Life got busy and i gave it up for a while. Then I lost my Dad. Writing poetry helped heal some of the hurt and Ive continued when I get a moment spare. I find poetry in very regular things. Creation, Motherhood, Seasons, Memories and Grief, Even a day at the beach. Im happily married, a mother and I hold down a job. Im just a normal person like any one of you. Over the years ive wanted to share a few and so PurpleEllePoetry is born. I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I enjoyed writing them.
